Zipgrid a community services platform has raised $200k in equity financing

Zipgrid a Mumbai and Ahmedabad based community services platform has raised $200k in equity financing from 1Crowd a crowdfunding ecosystem for startups.

It was founded in August 2013 by Jaydip Popat and Kunal Gupta. It claims to serves more than 70 housing communities and currently it operates in Mumbai. Its Services includes finance & accounting, compliance and control management solutions.

The funds will be used in expansion of its team, business and in strengthening their operations and technology.

Kunal Gupta, co-founder, ZIPGRID said,

“We are preparing ourselves to take on the immense untapped opportunity of collective consumption at the gates of communities by creating value for all stakeholders involved. Partnering with 1Crowd has brought us a few steps closer to our mission.”

1Crowd engages and co-invests with portfolio companies in areas of organization strategy, building, marketing and sales. It works with both B2C and B2B startups. In March 2016, 1Crowd invested in Proximiti a technology and analytics based startup.
