Voler Cars a New Delhi based self drive car rental startup has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Kanodias a prominent investor and Amit Banka, a leading entrepreneur and investor. Investors have taken a minority stake in the company.
The funds will be used in expansion of its fleet across cities including Mumbai, Hyderabad & Pune.
It was founded in 2010 by Vikas Parasrampuria. It operates a self drive car rental service in Bangalore and Delhi. Currently its fleet of cars include SUVs, mini hatchback and luxury sedans. It also plans to increase the number of its fleet cars to 1000 in the next 12 months.

“Voler has designed its operating model keeping in mind consumers experience and safety. It uses world-class technology and safety controls that keeps consumer connected through real time inputs about the car, speed, location, and several other important parameters.”
It claims to have a reach of upto 1 million people annually and it manages over 2000 vehicles across the country. With more 250 people across India it provides solutions to Multinational ITeS and IT companies.
It has a unique model of unlimited KM and transparent/fixed pricing, as accepted by users in Delhi-NCR. It’s 50% traffic comes from iOS and android users with a user base of more than 15000 customers.
By 2020 it aims to be one of the largest urban mobility solutions provider. It’s competitors include JustRide a Mumbai based self drive car rental aggregators raised funding of $400k in March 2016. Zoomcar raised $11 Million in July 2015.
Other players in the same segment include JustRide, Revv and Myles.
