Travelyaari raised funding from its existing investors BCCL

Travelyaari an online bus booking platform raised $7 million in a Series B round of funding from its existing investors Bennett Coleman & Co. Ltd, Gujarat Venture Finance Limited and other investors.

The funds will be used from product development, business growth, increase in online bus booking and improving service network. Currently it lists bus bookings from more than 25 cities which includes Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Pune, Cochin etc.

It was founded in 2007 and operations were started in 2008 by Partha Sinha and Aurvind Lama. It also lists hotels bookings in more than 50 cities including Goa, Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, etc. It claims to be operating in more than 8000 outlets across India. More than 5000 road travel service providers will now be integrated with platform along with agents and channel partners.

Travelyaari has provided technology solutions for state transport corporations like PRTC, Punjab Roadways and soon will adopt other state transportations as well.

It offers B2B solutions to around 2,000 bus operators with its Bus ERP product called BusCRS and also it is the provider of the largest inventory distribution to offline and online travel agents with its Global Distribution System, iamGDS.

The platform lists various tours including Heavenly Kashmir, Bandipur Wildlife Package and Dream Ride- Motorbike Expedition. It also allows bookings of activities like surfing, sailing, safari, ziplining, paragliding, river rafting etc.
