They can be reached via call, web or mobile application. The mobile application has almost 10k downloads with a positive rating of 3.9 on 5. The company is started by Ashish Dhawan has not gone for funding yet.
While Railriders provide you with only food facility, Omitra goes multiple steps further in helping you make your journey convenient. The company, still bootstrapped, has over 10K downloads with a rating a 4.1 on 5. They offer a plethora of services like interacting with your co-passenger, making complains to the railway authorities regarding any issues, getting fresh food served at your seat and booking and sharing a taxi. It also helps you reminding about the journey and remind your friends or relatives about your arrival as well.
This app lets you check the PNR status of your booking but what is turning heads is its feature of predicting whether a ticket will be confirmed or not. Not just this, the application has a number of other facilities as well such as “Alternative”, this feature helps you find alternative routes to reach your destination in case a direct route is not available. Other features include offline PNR status prediction and train schedules, live train locations, cab booking and trip manager. With such innovation going on, the government too is trying to help the budding entrepreneur in achieving their goals. The railways ministry has allocated funds to invest in start-ups that will show potential of solving problem that the railways is facing with innovation and technology. The ministry is contemplating on starting an incubation facility for start-ups in railway niche.
