Purplle raised its Series B round of funding from JSW Ventures

Purplle a Mumbai based beauty products and services marketplace, operated by Manash Lifestyle Pvt Ltd has raised $6 million in its Series B round of funding from JSW Ventures, IvyCap Venturer and Blume Ventures.

Manish Taneja, co-founder, Purplle said

“This funding will be directed towards strengthening our technology to enable content-driven beauty discovery, create deeper salon integration and expanding our supply to include exclusive brands and our own labels.”

It was founded by Manish Taneja an alumni of IIT Delhi and Rahul Dash an alumni of IIT Kharagpur and IIM Ahmedabad. It is an e-commerce platform which offers beauty appliances and beauty products and also provides a directory of spans and salons in Delhi-NCR and Mumbai.

Purplle focus on an ease oof discovery for buyers and customer engagement for sellers and product selection.

In January 2015, it raised an undisclosed amount of funding in its Series A round from IvyCap Ventures. In August 2013, it raised undisclosed amount of seed funding from Mumbai Angels, Blume Ventures and Chennai Angels.

Other startups raised funding includes Voonik Technologies Pvt Ltd raised $20 million in its Series B round of funding from Sequoia Capital a Venture Capital Firm. Roposo a Gurgaon based fashion discovery platform raised $5 million. Blinge an online fashion rental platform raised an undisclosed amount of funding in its first round of funding.
