Play Your Sports a Sports-Tech startup has raised an undisclosed amount of funding

Play Your Sport a Delhi based sports tech startup has raised an undisclosed amount of funding in its Pre Series round A funding from Ashish Gupta, Former Co-founder of E-Valueserve. The funds will be used to expand its business, strengthen technology and its team.

The startup was founded in 2015 by Supriya Mamgain and Varoon Kapoor. It is a mobile app based on location which helps the users to discover fitness and sports centres and to read about their team across different teams.

It plans to hire more than 50 people in next 6 months. Presently it is operating in Mumbai and Delhi with over 2000 venues on their platform.  It is being used by 1000+ sports facilities across different sports including swimming, football cricket, basketball and badminton to manage stream lone operations and memberships.

Play Your Sports believes that due to lack of convenient options people stop playing sports. Just because of the unorganized nature of business, talent and good sports infrastructure goes unused.

Supriya Mamgain Co-founder of Play Your Sport said

“Currently, the total market size is over 100 million and our goal is to target the 20 million in the metro cities in the 18-49 years age group.”

Supriya Mamgain earlier worked with HDFC Standard Life Insurance  and Varoon Kapoor co-founded Caravan Cabs which allows users to compare time and price for the arrival of various cab aggregators including Uber, Meru, Taxi for Sure, Ola, etc.
