Parentlane a Tech based startup raised an undisclosed amount of funding

Parentlane a Bangalore based tech startup has raised an undisclosed amount of funding in angel round which was led by Sujeet Kumar, former President of Operations in Flipkart. The funding will be utilised to improve their Mobile Technology and Product development to enhance value delivery, experience of the users and engagement rate on the platform.

Vijay Anand, CEO and Co-founder, said,

“This round of funding, by marquee names in the investor community has energized us to pursue our business objectives with focus and alacrity. Our plans for 2016 include investments in product development and technology to deliver personalized value & experience to Parentlane community in an engaging platform.”

Other investors who took part in the funding were Sumit Jain- Co-founder & CEO of CommonFloor.com, Aprameya Radhakrishna- founder of TaxiForSure, Venk Krishnan- Managing Partner at NuVentures, Subramanya Venkat- former managing partner at Bessemer Venture Partners, Rohit Choudhary- Senior Engineering Manager at Hortonworks, Hitesh Gupta- Founder of Vcbytes and Ravi Machani- Founder of IndiVillage LLP.

Parentlane was founded by Vijay Anand and Neeraj Kumar Gupta in December 2015. It is a personalised app based platform for guiding parents for the care of their baby and child development till they attain the age of eight years. The app will also deliver parents trusted and personalized resources , tips & recommendations for the development of their child. It contains variety of content on the baby care and child development, activities for kids, recipies for food and parenting tips.

Parentlane aims for the new age parents living in nuclear families with less support, around 70% of the parents are available in this category. So it provides parents with relevant information about their child at every stage of their development. Parents can also share notes and picture of their child during the development phase to keep the track of the activites.
