OLA a Bengaluru based taxi aggregator said that in the next 6 months it would invest INR 200 crore in Green fuel technology. In Delhi-NCR there are around 26,000 CNG cars and around 4.5 lakhs cars in 102 cities in India. To further promote CNG cabs for their driver, OLA also held a 5 day programme named ‘Pragati Mahotsav’.
This programme was designed as a one stop shop valuation and exchange with discounts on new vehicles, and ola had partnered with few ca manufacturers such as Hyundai, Nissan, Maruti Suzuk and Tata motors.
A few months ago OLA made a promise to help the Government in their vision for a Greener city. As they are already providing 100% CNG fleet within Delhi and from 1st May OLA is planning to extend their business covering Gurgaon, Noida, Faridabad and Ghaziabad. It’s a step towards a greener environment and keeping our cities pollution free.
The Honorable Supereme Court said that no taxis will be allowed to run in Delhi-NCR on Petrol and Diesel with effect from 30th April. Ola is been working regularly to help their drivers to switch to CNG vehicles . Ola have helped over 6000 cab drivers in purchasing new CNG vehicles. With this initiative there will be cabs running over Green Fuel.

“As a law abiding corporate citizen, we at Ola respect the law of our land and will abide by the Supreme Court’s order on running only CNG cabs in Delhi-NCR. We attended the meeting and submitted a letter to confirm the same,”
