Niki.ai an artificial intelligence based chatbox has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Ratan Tata and Ronnie Screwvala’s Unilazer Ventures. The funds will be utilised to expand their categories and facilitate more consumer delight.
Niki.ai was founded by Shishir Modi, Keshav Pravasi, Nitin Babel and Sachin Jaiswal. It allows the user to order anything with a simple chat interface. It offers services like cab booking, bill payments, food ordering, cricket scores, recharge and home services. With a 21 member team the startup have a user base of 40,000 across india with more than 25 brands as their partners.

In the last 2 years, Ratan Tata Former Chairman at The Tata Sons has invested on more than 25 startups which include Paytm- Digital wallet provider, Snapdeal- Online Marketplace, Tracxn- Data analytics company, Ola- Cab hailing service, Zivame- Online lingerie store and Dogspot.in- Online pet supplies.
Niki.ai takes advantage of the technology to process its natural language and machine learning to converse with users over a simple chat interface and then place the orders within seconds with the partner businesses.
Companies like Facebook, Slack, Microsoft, kik and Telegram have also developed their chatbots platform. Chatbots are an essential AI micro-assistants that answers your questions by offering information within a chat app.
