Mobikon a marketing platform for the F&B Industry has acquired MassBlurn an automated online platform for restaurants.
Mobikon was founded by Samir Khadepaun and Salil Khamkar. It engaged its customers with task which includes reservations, ordering, loyalty, CRM, marketing and feedback. It plans to expand its reach outside India which will allow it to increase its revenues per restaurant. It will help Mobikon to add 200 brand of restaurant in India and further increase total reach to more than 500 brands of restaurants and more than 1200 outlets in India and more than 2800 outlets internationally.
Mobikon presently is operating in Philipines, Singapore, Dubai, Manila, India, Kuala Lumpur and Macau. It claims to have over 100k reviews every month, with over 170k new diners being added on monthly basis it engages over 1,000,000 diners per month.
It’s leading customers in India are JP Palace, Pizza Express, Pind Baluchi, Radisson Hotel and Copper Chimney. It’s international customers include Red Crab Group, Swensens, Shankey’s Pizza, Minor Group, Select Group and City of Dreams.
MassBlurb was founded by Sanket Shah and Pankit Chheda. They will have key roles at Mobikon. Sanket will manage key accounts and partnerships across the company, Pankit will work closely with CTO of Mobikon for driving new product initiatives.
Mobikon raised a series of funding which includes, in 2012-13 it raised $2.7 million from Jungle Ventures, Lion Rock and Spring Singapore. In July 2015 it raised $2.3 million from Singapore based Jungle Ventures. In October 2015 it raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Life SREDA Singapore based Fintech focused venture capital firm.
Sanket Shah, Co-Founder of MassBlurb, who said,

MassBlurb allows the restaurants to increase their business and create brand presence with innovative technology. It has currently tied up with more than 200 restaurants brands across the country. It is currently providing its services in 6 cities.
MassBlurb has raised an undisclosed amount of Angel Funding from Vikram Chachra and other investors from Mumbai Angels.
This acquisition will allow Mobikon to offer its customers with solutions on social network platform which will allow restaurants to convert followers and likes to business, generate social leads, social media management automation, cloud telephony integrated with CRM and website automation.
This the second time Mobikon has acquired a startup. In August 2015 it acquired Trii.be an analytics startup for an undisclosed amount.
