MagicX raised $1 million in seed funding

MagicX- A Bangalore based company raised a funding of $1 million form from Kris Gopalakrishnan Co-founder and Former Vice Chairman and CEO of Infosys, Dr.  Ranjan Pai, MD and CEO of Manipal Education and Medical Group, Aarti Grover, MD of CMS Computers Ltd, Lionrock, , and R Ramaraj, Co-founder of Sify.

Kris Gopalakrishnan CEO of Infosys as one of the investor said

“Bots and artificial intelligence are the next frontiers in technology. I am excited to back this team, which is working in such cutting-edge technologies. I am impressed with Pratyush and Arun and the team they have assembled and I am looking forward to the change we can bring about in commerce,”

Pratyush Prasanna co-founder of MagicX said,

“We are looking at exploring at different language choices. People from different parts of the country should be able to chat and get responses in the language they prefer and not in English.”


MagicX was launched in February 2016 by Pratyush Prasanna, co-Founder, MagicX and ex-VP Paytm and founder and CEO of Plustxt. Since its launch MagicX has achieved a 100,000 downloads. It is a chat enabled AI programme, which helps the customers to handle their day to day transactions which include food ordering, flight booking, bill payments and many such services via chat. MagicX will utilise the funds in expansion of their team, technology upgradation, add more categories of services and market initiatives. Currently the app is available on Android platform.
