Glam Studios raised funding from Pradeep Mirani and others

Glam Studios a Noida based chain of standardised salons has raised $229k angel funding from Pradeep Mirani and others. Other participated in this round include Anand Ladsariya, Aqqel Ahmed and Nitin Agarwal. I Plan Wealth Management led this round.

The funds will be used for company’s expansion, technology and operations. It aims to acquire more than 500 salons by the end of this financial year.

It was founded in October 2015 by Sadiya Naseem, Ajay Bansal, Feeroz A Khan and Darakshan Husain. It creates a tech-driven chain of budget salons via Standardisation, brand associationa and aggregation.

Sadiya Naseem, founder and CEO, Glam Studios said,

“We have received an incredibly encouraging response both from customers and salon owners and plan to have more than 500 salons on the tech-backed platform by the end of this financial year.”

It claims to have served more than 6000 clients and secured 1000 yearly memberships in first 6 months of its operations. To become a part of Glam Studios, Salons have to sign up with it without any capital expenditure. Currently it operates 40 studios in Delhi-NCR.

Other startups in this segment includes Zenoti, Stayglad, Mazkara, Purplle, AthomeDiva, Zapluk, etc.
