Derbii a Gurgaon based Cab pooling app run by Winwincab Rides Pvt Ltd has raised an undisclosed amount of seed funding from Anurag Chauhan, Managing Director at Accenture.
Gaurav Sinsinwar, Co-founder, Derbii said
“We’ll use the new funds to improve our technology, get more users, and increase the number of cabs on the road, We are looking at another round of investment in the next three months and have received commitment from the existing investor.”
Derbii was founded by Gaurav Sinisnwar, Akash Chaudhary and Prasenjit Singh in 2015. It provides users with pickup and drop services for regular users. Using the app users can provide their route details and then they are matched with the other users going or returning their way.
At present the startup claims to have 20 cabs operating in Dehi-NCR. There is no flat pricing structure for Derbii, it works on a flat by the KM model. Their aim is to bring 5k customers in next few months.
Gaurav Sinsinwar also said,
“We’ve been committed to the idea of economical, comfortable and, most importantly, end-to-end commuting solutions since close to 2 years with Winwincab and we are excited to be using our experience to build a consumer product in the same spirit.”
Other players in the market are Ola Share, Uberpool, orahi, Poolcircle, Lets Ride, Ridely, Ryde and others. In April Ibibo an Online travel group had launched Ryde a carpooling app. Cloudacar a Pune based social commute platform for ride sharing has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Snapdeal’s senior VP, Amit Choudhary and Anuj Puri, Chairman at JLL India a real estate service firm.
