Bombay Shirt an online custom shirt company raised funding

Bombay Shirt a Mumbai based online custom shirt company has raised around $1 million in a bridge round from Patni Group an existing investor and an undisclosed investor. The funds will be utilise to expand its business in Bangalore, Kolkata, Chennai & Delhi, and to hire specialist.

It was launched by Akshay Narvekar in 2012. It is an online custom shirt brand providing customers with a choice from customizing their shirts and the available BSC designs. It offers a wide variety of colours and fabrics to choose from, making the shirt unique.

Akshay Narvekar said,

“The capital will be deployed to expand to other cities – Bangalore, Delhi, Kolkata, and Chennai – as well as key hires in the technology space.”

Ankit Vora has been appointed as Vice-President of business development and finance by BSC. He previously worked with Parallel49 Equity in the US. Earlier the startup raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Patni Group.
